The Islands of Sao Tome and Principe

This is the hidden Paradise off the west coast of Africa!  Very little known to the world, the little islands of Sao Tome and Principe are an island nation in the Gulf of Guinea, off the western coast of Africa.  Both islands are part of an extinct volcanic mountain range.

The bigger of the two islands, Sao Tome is situated just north of the equator. Sao Tome is relatively well-developed and you can visit the rustic charm of old city centre and the lively central market. Take the opportunity to visit the cacao plantation and see how cacao is harvested. On the nature trail, you can enjoy the 700 species of flora and fauna, including hundreds of exotic orchids.  In addition, you can go bird-watching and turtle-watching.

When you land on the smaller Principe island, you would be lost for words.  It is a real hidden paradise on earth!  On the northern shore of Principe, lies the exclusive Bom Bom Island Resort, offering luxurious accommodation amidst the beautiful and natural surrounding.  There you can go kayaking, diving, snorkelling, quad biking or simply laze on the sunny sandy beach.
