How To Be Happy : Give Everything Away
Karl Rabeder, the happy man.
Have you heard of Karl Rabeder?
Ever wonder what you would do if you have millions of dollars? The first thing that comes to mind is that you will definitely be very, very happy. I will. The second thing I would think of, or rather not have to worry anymore, is that I am now 100% financially secured, and most of my problems will no longer be problems. It is definitely logical to want to be rich. I still believe, with money I can overcome a lot of my fears and problems. But that elusive feeling, "happiness," is something that is more than money can buy.
Karl Rabeder knows he cannot buy "happiness", so he is "throwing" all his money away. Literally by the millions! Have you heard of this person? He is an Austrian tycoon, aged 47, a businessman who made his millions in interior furnishings and accessories. He is not going to keep a cent of it. Everything must go in order that he will have real happiness. You know what he said? "My idea is to have nothing left. Absolutely nothing. Money is counterproductive - it prevents happiness."
I suppose you need to be in his position to really understand and appreciate what he is talking about. Although I can bet with my 2 cents that most tycoons will certainly not agree with him. But then are they as happy as Karl?
You can go to the link below to read his full story. I like the last part best. After "enjoying" himself in Hawaii with the best of everything he commented, " The staff played the role of being friendly and the guests played the role of being important and nobody was real." That was the last straw that broke his wallet. He decided to empty it all!
Can you do it? I don't think I can. Maybe I will still keep a million for rainy days!! And still be happy!! Hahahahaha!!!!
The happy man without a cent.
